Nohno: Longitude and Latitude.

 

Longitude and Latitude is a double album comprising of 23 works, created over a period of 4 years.
 

Through this we are creating a musical travelogue that explores our experiences or imaginings of particular places. This double album is therefore diverse: journeying from more beat driven pieces through Classical and Jazz inspired works, to more ambient creations and musical poetry.
 

Again we use spoken word samples. In some cases the meaning of the phrase is not important, since we are more interested in how the sound of the words is perceived and interpreted by listenes within the context of the arrangements.

 

Longitude’s 12 tracks include 10 original compositions, with 2 additional interpretations: remixed by Rod Modell/Deep Chord and Andrea Bellucci/Red Sector A.

Latitude comprises of 11 original compositions.The poetry and vocal work of Italy’s Elena De Angeli is featured on "Miodowa".
